CP Construction grabs solo lead in Sunday Night Hoops
CEBU, Philippines — CP Construction posted back-to-back victories on the way to assume the solo leadership in Sunday Night Hoops at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Albert Uy came up with 16 points, eight rebounds and three assists as CP Construction escaped past the White Wolves, 49-46.
After Uy, it was Marzouk Abdul Rahman’s turn to shine, churning out 21 points, six assists and five rebounds to power CP Construction to a 71-56 rout of Night Squad.
CP Construction thus jumped on top of the heap with a 5-1 win-loss mark. The White Wolves absorbed their second setback in five starts, whole the Night Squad slumped to 1-5.
On the other hand, Parokya ni Edgar and Spit on Them downed separate rivals to improve their records to 5-2.
Norzen Bantiles had 10 points, six rebounds and two steals as Parokya ni Edgar edged Space Jam, 77-69, while Loyloy Pagalan tallied 16 markers on top of five rebounds and one steal to lift Spit on Them past the skidding Labangon Reapers, 59-53.
Space Jam fell to 2-5 while the Reapers crashed to their fourth consecutive defeat after an impressive 2-0 start.
In the other result, Marvin Plenos sank seven 3-pointers of his 36 points as Rustans handed Palfox its first loss, 61-51.Rustans now sports a 3-4 card. — EBV
