Baby Webmasters rule City Olympics basketball

CEBU, Philippines — University of Cebu (UC) Baby Webmasters made up for their loss in the CESAFI finals by clinching the championship in the 29th Cebu City Olympics with a dominating 81-66, over University of the Visayas (UV) Baby Lancers yesterday at the Cebu City Sports Institute.

With the win, UC earned the right to represent Cebu City in the CVIRAA Meet next year.

The Baby Lancers took a commanding of the first half, 37-32, but the Baby Webmasters were able to trim it down in the third canto. With momentum on their side, UC launched another scoring rally in the fourth period that paved way for their 15-point victory.

In the battle-for-bronze, University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) pounced Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology (SCSIT), 116-86.

In the boys’ 3-on-3, the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) Dragons got the gold medal with a thrilling 20-18 victory via overtime against Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) Greywolves. SCSIT settled for bronze with a 13-12 victory over Abellana National School.
