Tapaya wins July title in BTA monthly tilt

CEBU, Philippines — Arthur Tapaya topped the July edition of the Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (PTA)-Prima Monthly Open Bowling Tournament last Sunday night at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City.

Tapaya completed the six-game series with the highest output of 1,238 pinfalls, just eight pins ahead of Bede Ilano who finished second with 1,230.

Aui Padawan settled for third with 1,199 followed by Ed Aninon (1,173) and Clarence Tiu (1,166).

Boy Co (1,158) and Lolong Uy (1,137 pins) occupied the sixth and seventh spots, respectively.

Two female senior bowlers in Vivian Padawan and Dory Enoveso placed eight and ninth with 1,133 and 1,127, while BTA president Bel Suelto completed the top 10 cast with 1,107 pinfalls. (FREEMAN)
