Radisson Blu Cebu to start room renovations by June
CEBU, Philippines — Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu announced its 18-month enhancement program of its rooms, which will start next month.
General manager Stephan Sieberg said that the program will start with the upgrade of the 55 rooms in June.
Sieberg said all the 400 rooms of the hotel will be renewed by end of 2019.
With promising business in tourism in Cebu and the fast evolving global travelers, Sieberg said there is a need for the property to catch up with the trends. Constant upgrade and enhancement programs for all its facilities are crucial to its business.
Radisson Blu Cebu he added is putting more not only on perfecting its service, but also on every detail of the hospitality business, explaining that in tourism "there is no standstill."
Sieberg also joined tourism stakeholders' high anticipation of the opening of the Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) Terminal 2 next month, however warned to keep the balance not to oversell or cheapen Cebu as a destination.
Balance in tourism business is important, especially that Cebu has started to develop its position for the middle to high-end classes of travelers.
He recommended for Cebu to balance tourism a little bit. "If you flood the market with cheap tourism it will backfire overtime, which could become a risk. Cebu is also a destination for upscale or high-end tourism. You have everything here."
