Triathlon festival in Bantayan Island

CEBU, Philippines - Bantayan Island will play host to a triathlon festival dubbed as ‘Tri-X’ set on April 8 at the Sta. Fe Beach Club.

The fun-filled event features road and mountainbike (off-road) triathlon plus individual races for the swim, bike and run.

The off-road covers a one kilometer swim, 30 kilometer bike and 7.5K run, while the participants of the road class will have to deal with a two kilometer swim, 60K bike and 15K run.

Meanwhile, the riders who will compete in the bike competition will deal with a 60-kilometer route. The running event features 10K and 5K distances, while the participants of the swim event will race in a two kilometer open water course.

Cash prizes and medals will be given away to the top performers.

Entry fee for the triathlon events is pegged at P3,500 for individual and P7,500 for relay team. For the individual races, registration fee is at P500 for the swim, bike and 5K run and P750 for the 10K action.
