DBTC-BRO-ERCO starts strong in Aboitiz football

CEBU, Philippines - Don Bosco Technology College-BRO-ERCO got off to a rousing start courtesy of a 25-0 annihilation of Marigondon FC in the boys 18-under division of the 18th Aboitiz Football Cup at the Cebu City Sports Center yesterday.

The Bosconians immediately went on a scoring spree with 10 goals in the first half. They didn’t give the Marigondon booters a chance as they continued their assault in the second canto.

Sacred Heart School-Atene de Cebu, for its part, pulled off an 8-0 victory at the expense of  Camellanz FC, while Cebu International School outsmarted the University of San Carlos, 4-2.

Over at the DBTC-Magone field in Barangay Punta Princesa, Canduman FC kept their semis hope alive, while SHS-AdC lady booters are assured for Final Four slot in the girls 18-under.

Canduman cruises past Tayud FC, 3-0, while SHS-AdC pummeled University of San Jose-Recoletos, 10-0.

Earlier, Queen City United edged out ERCO, 2-0, in the 45-above division. Ric Baring delivered for QCU with his two goals in the 50th and 81th mark. (FREEMAN)
