25th City Olympics on today

CEBU, Philippines – The 25th edition of the Cebu City Olympics gets underway today with another elaborate opening ceremony at the Cebu City Sports Center.

The kick-off bash will be highlighted by the honoring of some of the best and brighest products of City Olympics who have made big achievements in their respective field of sports.

There will also be the traditional selection of the Mr. and Miss City Olympics for both the elementary and secondary division as well as the field demonstration.

Some matches in football, basketball and volleyball will be contested today, but games will go full blast tomorrow yet.

Action in arnis, archery, boxing, swimming and taekwondo have already been done last week as most of the athletes involved also form past of Team Cebu City in the 2015 Philippine National Games in Antique. (FREEMAN)
