The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines -  The University of Cebu Webmasters shoot for their third win as they battle the Cebu Institute of Technology-University Wildcats in the 15th Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. men's basketball tournament today at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Webmasters and the Wildcats will collide at 5:30 p.m., right after a juniors division triple-header that will start with the match between the University of Southern Philippine Foundation Baby Panthers and the Don Bosco Technology Center Greywolves at 1 p.m.

In the second game at 2:30 p.m., the UC Junior Webmasters will take on CIT-U Wildkittens, while defending champion Sacred Heart School Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles target their third straight victory when they go up against the University of the Visayas Baby Lancers at 4 p.m.

The Webmasters currenty hold a 2-1 win-loss card. They won by forfeiture over the University of San Jose-Recoletos Jaguars in their season-opening assignment, then blasted the USPF Panthers, 81-69, before dropping a 62-77 decision to the UV Green Lancers last August 9.

It's going to be an exciting duel between teams with smaller lineups and without foreign reinforcements.

As usual, the Webmasters will turn to Melvin Butohan, Joseph Mayol, Clint Suelto, Filvenson Culango, Justine Dacalos, Peter Codilla, John Jabello, and Windell Santander as they try to get back into the winning track.

The Wildcats, on the other hand, will count on Joshua de la Cerna, Alan Dimco, Jesse Aloro, Mark Kong, Steven Bucao, Jeffrey Taghoy, and  Wilkin Sanchez as they seek to end a two-game slump.— EBV
