2 Cebuano fighters compete in ONE FC
CEBU, Philippines - Not one, but two Cebuano mixed martial artists will strut their wares in ONE Fighting Championship on April 24 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Flyweight kickboxer Eugene Toquero will try to score his second straight win in Asia's largest MMA organization as he battles Indonesian Brianata Rosadni, while Lapu-Lapu City's Jimmy 'Silencer' Yabo faces Edward Kelly in a featherweight showdown.
The Alcantara, Cebu-native Toquero, who is coming off a unanimous decision victory against Malaysian MMA star Gianni Subba last May, is needing a win to boost his chances for a ONE FC title shot.
Toquero and Yabo will be in the undercard of the blockbuster ONE FC fightcard headlined by the welterweight world title bout between defending champion Ben Asken of the United States and Luis Santos of Brazil.
In the supporting bout, Fil-American Mark 'Mugen' Striegl will make his ONE FC debut against American Casey Suire. (FREEMAN)
