Sinulog Fun Run moved to Sunday
CEBU, Philippines – The organizers of the annual Sinulog Fun Run decided to reset the staging of the Sinulog Fun Run that is now set to kickoff this Sunday at the Cebu City Sports Center.
Originally scheduled yesterday, Sinulog Foundation executive director and organizer Ricky Ballesteros decided to move the run because of the bad weather condition due to tropical depression ‘Seniang’.
"The postponement is due to the current bad weather condition brought by tropical depression "Seniang". We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the safety of our participants always comes first," said Ballesteros.
With the postponement of the race, runners who still haven’t registered can still sign up at the CCSC office. Entry fee is pegged at P300 inclusive of a race bib, finisher's shirt and refreshment.
The organizers will be giving away P5,000 for the best in costume in the men and women's division and a separate P5,000 for the best dressed group.The biggest running club will also get P5,000.
On the other hand, the champion in both the men and women's category will take home P10,000, while the first runner-up will pocket P5,000.
The third to fifth will get P3,000, P2,000 and P1,500, respectively. The sixth to 10th will go home with P1,000.
