Labordo destroys Tronco

CEBU, Philippines -  Juren 'Turbo' Labordo (14-2, 9KOs) is slowly building himself as one of ALA Boxing Gym’s prospect with another knockout  win against Jaymart 'Astroboy' Tronco (14-7, 10KOs) in the main event of ALA-Cobra Energy Drink 'Tunay na Lakas Boxing' fightcard  last night at the Molo covered gym in Barangay Katilingban in Iloilo City.

This is Labordo's second impressive win after suffering a heart-breaking third round TKO defeat in the hands of journeyman Fernando Ocon last July 26 in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

Labordo once again showed his power and speed, but this time he became more technical as he slowly break down the more experienced Tronco.

The winning moment came for him in the seventh round after a vicious head and body combination that sent Tronco crashing in the canvas at the 2:38 mark of the round.

In the supporting bout, another ALA Gym pug Arjan Canillas (9-0, 7KOs) kept his unbeaten record intact with a third round TKO win against Royroy Sumugat (9-11, 3KOs).

In the other results, Geo Santisima destroyed John Rey Melligen in the first round, Virgel Victor winning via unanimous decision over Jimboy Rosales , Gerard Suico annihilates Ronald Ombing in the opening bell as Melvin Jerusalem scoring a second round TKO over Jomar Ceneta. (FREEMAN)
