UC jins rule PTL tourney
CEBU, Philippines – The University of Cebu jins dominated all category in the 2014 edition of the Philippine Taekwondo League (PTL)-Cebu staged recently at SM Consolacion.
UC swept all medals in the men's senior division and women's junior division.
Indiana Aerospace University and the University of San Carlos both settled for a bronze in the senior men and junior girls' respectively.
In the junior boys, UC overpowered USC while Southwestern University and Holy Name University settled for a bronze each in the tag-team type battle.
UC jins of coach Michael Realista snared their fourth gold from the cadet division over SWU while USC and San Roque Child Development School got a bronze each.
UC also got an added bonus with Princess Maegan Parba who is under UC's team B named the Best Female of the tournament while another UC bet, Sal Luiji Estrada was the Best Male player.
UC's Team B was also awarded the Most Outstanding team according to tournament director Avenger Alob.
The PTL-Cebu is the first area to adopt this kind of event outside Metro Manila. (FREEMAN)
