Lexmark rules ‘Goal for Jacob’ bootfest

Caecent No-ot Magsumbol - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines – Lexmark football squad snared the championship trophy in the men’s division of the ‘Goal for Jacob,’ a charity football initiated by Leylam FC, last Sunday at the Cebu International School football field in Barangay Talamban, this city.

Lexmark triumphed against Leylam FC’s Team B, 3-1 for the title. San Miguel FC-A settled for third place.

In the distaff side, Accenture won gainst E-Performax via shootout, 3-2, while Lexmark placed third.

The charity event is specifically dedicated to a 1-year-old boy named Jacob who is set to undergo a surgical operation on his “club foot,” a congenital deformity affecting the foot. The baby is a son of one of Leylam’s production staff.  (FREEMAN)
