Cebuano jins deliver one more gold for Phl in Korea tikefest

CEBU, Philippines-  After Rinna Babanto, two more Cebuano jins in McAyngr Alob and Clement Tan contributed gold for XX Team Philippines in team event of the World Taekwondo Hanmadang at Pohang gym in Gyeongsangbuk-do, Pohang City in South Korea.

Alob and Tan came up with a golden performance in the team authorized competition along with Bella Cesista,Juvenille Crisostomo, Jeordan Dominguez,  Ardee Landrito, Junior Reyes, Joevani Colega and Jaylord Seridon.

They also grabbed a silver each, with Alob coming from the pairs junior IV along with Clare Gascon, and Tan via the pairs junior III together with Nichole Maurin.

Overall, Team Philippnes, which is composed of the younger batch of national team members, got four golds and three silvers in the world taekwondo festival.  Babanto, who is now with De La Salle University, earlier won gold in junior team poomsae with Nikki Oliva of the University of the Philippines and Jocel Ninobla of the University of Sto. Tomas.

The other golds came from the all-around breaking competition through the efforts of Juvenille Crisostomo in the female division and Jeordan Dominguez in the men’s class. (FREEMAN)
