Brazilians can’t take defeat

Bobby Motus - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - By halftime of that epic German annihilation, riot police were stationed around the premises of the Estado Mineirao.  In the suburban areas, Brazilian flags were burned on the streets by fans who can’t accept the game’s outcome.

Over at Copacabana Beach in Rio, where a jumbo screen was installed, hundreds of fans were forced seek cover as a gang of armed young men fired shoots to the air, stormed bars and stole bags, money and jewelry form the large crowd.

There was looting in some cities and a bus station and buses were burned in the city of San Pablo.  Brazil, in context, is not ready to lose.
