CESAFI pre-season games kick off in Cordova

CEBU, Philippines - The University of Cebu Webmasters will take on the Cebu Institute of Technology-University Wildcats at the start of the Cordova CESAFI Pre-Season games tonight at the Cordova Sports Complex.

Only four teams are seeing action in the tournament held as a runup to the 14th CESAFI season set to kick off on August 2 at the Cebu Coliseum.

The other two contenders are the University of the Visayas Green Lancers and the University of San Carlos Warriors. They will slug it out on June 13 yet.

Organized by the newly-formed Basketball Association of Cordova  led by its president Roque Yburan, the event offers P50,000 to the champion. The first placer will receive P30,000, while the second and third will get P20,000 and P10,000, respectively. (GGM) (FREEMAN)
