Borbon to host 2nd leg of MS Motosuit series

CEBU, Philippines -  The second leg of the 2014 MS Motosuit Motocross Series will take place this Sunday in Barangay Logo, Borbon town north of Cebu.

Billed as the '4th Mayor Butch Sepulveda Motocross Cup,' the adrenaline-pumping race features some of country's top riders. Among them are the multi-titled Jonjon Adlawan, Burnok Mangusong, Dondon Yuson, Wensor Famorca, Ambo Yaparcon, and Vebil Abellar.

Event organizer Lou Ornopia said several other daredevils from Manila, Davao, Dumaguete City, Leyte and Dinagat Island in Surigao will also be coming over to showcase their riding skills against Cebu's best.

The categories to be contested are the mini 60cc and 85cc, beginners, local enduro, open enduro, executive A, B and C, novice, intermediate, expert and pro open. 

Co-presented by the local government of Borbon, the one-day tilt is also backstopped by F & FO Motor Parts, JCO Motor Parts, Prospeed, Speed-up, Quick Flight, Motomaze, Keiz BJ Motors, Bradder Moto Access, RMO Motor Parts, NF Motor Parts, Aike Motor Parts, Ljun Motor Parts, Sanitech, Dr. Andy Uy, Jonathan Cuyos, Edwin Dilao, Ramon Montealto, Gitoy Ornopia, and Diosdado Navarez.

After Borbon, the series shifts to Toledo City for the third leg in June 2 and then in Dinagat Island for the fourth leg on June 18.

Meanwhile, exciting motocross action will be telecast over CCTN 47 every Saturday from 10:30 to 11 am, with replays every Sunday from 10:30 to 11 o'clock in the evening.

The half-hour show features the humble beginnings of Cebu motocross as well as some highlights of the annual MS Motosuit series.  (FREEMAN)
