Cebu-based Xterra warrior Miller makes debut on international stage
CEBU, Philippines - Cebu-based triathlete Joseph "Joe" Miller will make his debut in the international elite circle through the Xterra Asia-Pacific Championships tomorrow at the Callala Beach in Jervis Bay, New South Wales, Australia.
Miller is the first and only Pinoy off-road triathlete who will be competing in the elite action, thanks to Australian Ben Allen who made all things possible for him.
"I just wanted to share the unique experience with someone that does so much for others and deserves it. Joseph is very kind and passionate about Xterra. I wanted to give him an opportunity to race in the Asia Pacific Championships because he is my friend. I have been supported by so many people and I also wanted to help someone," Allen told The Freeman earlier.
Allen said he and Miller are very excited for the race. They will go up against a bunch of top-caliber Xterra warriors in the likes of Conrad Stoltz, Dan Hugo, Bradley Weiss, Braden Currie, Braden Currie, Craig Evans, Courtney Atkinson, Alex Reithmeier, Olly Shaw, Joshua Kenyon, Roger Serrano, Brice Daubord, Todd Israel and Mitchell Anderson.
"Both of us have the potential to win the race. We have a lot of support from our family and friends, who inspire us to push beyond our limitations and achieve the best result," said Allen. (FREEMAN)
