DBTC sizzles in BRO bootfest

CEBU, Philippines - Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) booters snared three titles plus a runner-up in the 3rd BRO Football Nationals Festival at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City yesterday.

The Bosconians ruled the under-7, 8 and 9 divisions.

The first game saw, DBTC-B defending their crown in the under-7 class with a 2-1 triumph against Consolacion FC.

In the under-8 class, DBTC-C upended Talisay Razkals, 1-0, to claim the under-8 championship in a 7-a-side event.

After securing the under-9 crown, the Bosconians came up short in winning their fourth title as they were defeated by Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, 1-0, in the under-15 championship.

In the under-11 bracket, University of San Carlos - BED also scored back-to-back championship in the under-11 and under-13 category beating Les Lions FC and Phoenix FC respectively.

Les Lions of  San Carlos City bounced back with a 4-0 whitewash against Consolacion FC for the under-10 title.

ERCO FC of Engineer Rodney Orale reigned supreme in the executive 38 division with a 1-0 victory over KN Ferraren.  (FREEMAN)
