Talk ‘N Text joins Charter Day Cup

CEBU, Philippines - Six-time PBA champion Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters will be the third PBA team to showcase their wares in front of Cebuano hoop fans in the 2014 Charter Day Cup on February 21-23 in two separate venues.

Talk 'N Text will join Alaska Aces, GlobalPort Batang Pier and Tagoloan Natumolan Tigers, the lone amateur squad, in the three-day joust that serves as their tuneup for the PBA Commissioner’s Cup set to unfold on March 7.

Talk ‘N Text who was ousted in the quarterfinals by San Mig Coffee Mixers wants to bounce back next conference. The Texters of coach Norman Black played their opening game of the All-Filipino Cup in Cebu Coliseum winning against sister-team Meralco Bolts last November 17.

Texters will be bannered by Jimmy Alapag, Larry Fonacier, Ranidel De Ocampo and Jayson Castro, who will suit up for the Smart Gilas Pilipinas in the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain on August.

The other stars in the Tropang Texters’ fold are KG Canaleta, Danny Seigle, Harvey Carey, Ryan Reyes, Jai Reyes, Noy Baclao and one-time MVP Kelly Williams,

The four contenders will play in a single round robin format. The team with the best record will automatically be declared as champion.

Tickets are priced at P50 for general admission, P150 for upperbox, P300 for lowerbox, P400 for stage seats and P500 for ringside.
