Dynamo FC, Giuseppe drub foes in Aboitiz Cup

CEBU, Philippines - Team Dynamo FC and Giuseppe share lead in the under-11 division of the 16th Aboitiz Football Cup after winning their respective matches yesterday at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Brgy.Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

Team Dynamo FC won against MAD FC with a 6-0 thrashing, while Giuseppe pulled off a 14-0 annihilation of Don Bosco Technology Center-Team 4. Dynamo and Giuseppe both hold a 2-1 win-draw record.

Pio Gerardo Antiquina leads the charge for Dynamo FC with two goals. Antiquina got his first goal in the first half as Vince Miaga and Jozel Ontillo posted a goal each. Antiquiana scored his second goal in the second half along with Daniel Sestoso and Clouie Areglo.

Meanwhile, Giuseppe grabbed the opportunity to score as many as they could against an undermanned Bosconians.

Cebu International School (CIS) booters also posted a 3-0 triumph over Phoenix FC in the under-11 action. CPMS silenced BMALV, 3-0 and USC-BED pulled off a 6-0 whitewash over San Roque Football Club.

 CIS also scored a win in the under-7 bracket as they upended Giuseppe, 5-3.  Bosconians also bounce back with their Team C winning against Consolacion, 3-0, while DBTC-B overpowered DBTC-A, 2-1.

In the under-9 division, DBTC-A defeated sister team DBTC-1, 3-0, as DBTC- B won against DBTC-2, 2-0. Don Bosco’s Team D outsmarted its Team C, 3-0, while Bright Academy upended DBTC-E, 3-0. (FREEMAN)
