Caecent No-ot Magsumbol - The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - The trio of Tata Atillo, Clifford Arnoco and Romy Rivas upset their more experienced rivals to claim the first title available in the 2014 M. Lhuillier Sinulog Open Darts Tournament the other night at the Baseline Sports and Recreation Center.

Atillo, Arnoco, Rivas outsmarted Jerome Perales, Topax Salazar and Danilo Gelliga by the slimmest of margins, 3-2, to rule the three-man team event.

Reden Colina, Jun Sy and Fernie Sebial came out third, while Boy Campugan, Eugene Managuit and Wennie Ocañada took the fourth place honors.

The joint fifth and sixth placers were Team 11 of Steve Montenegro and Team 16 of Allan Veloso.

Aside from the three-man competition, the participants are also vying for top honors in the open singles and doubles event.

A total of P45,000 is at stake in the two-day tilt organized by the Cebu Darters Association (CDA).  (FREEMAN)
