Elvis and friends

CEBU, Philippines - Christmas with Elvis and Friends, a two-hour variety show held last December 23 at Robinsons Fuente, was  a whooping success, drawing a big crowd.  The last minute-shoppers took time out to watch 'Dos Gwapos'  composed of Sam Costanilla and Max Andrino, tickle the audience with their jokes while Cebus’ Micheal Jackson, Mark Babiera, sent the crowd dancing with his  “Billy Jean.” Comedian-magician Gilbert Amante alias “Chokolet” continued to entertain the shoppers with his funny antics.  Jhun Villahermosa, Cebus’ Frank Sinatra , although nursing a sore throat, sang the newest Cebu Tourism theme “Cebu, What’s the Magic in You?”  besides dishing out Christmas songs.  Main act Elvis, did his usual rock and roll music while singing several Christmas songs.  At one instance, Elvis went down the stage to sing duets with Doc Bernard Pino, Elvis of Michigan and Allan Penalosa, another Elvis impersonator. Freddie Madarang, composer of Cebu, former Wyeth manager Relly Mercado and TV host Ate Ging Montesclaros were among the delighted audience. Here’s wishing each and everyone a Happy New Year.
