Deep Blue to stage X-mas chessfest
CEBU, Philippines - It's going to be another exciting weekend for Cebuano pawnpushers with the staging of the Deep Blue 'D' Woodpusher Christmas Chess Tournament on December 20-21 at the Deep Blue Cafe in SM City-Cebu.
The 7-round Swiss system competition follows the kiddies and open categories.
The champion in the open division will pocket P3,000, while the second and third will receive P2,000 and P1,000, respectively. The fourth will take P500, while the fifth to 10th placers will get a consolation prize of P200 each.
The kiddies champ, on the other hand, will take home P1,200, while the second to fourth will receive P800, P600 and P400.
