Prince reigns as king in 2nd Alphan's Run
CEBU, Philippines - Prince Joey Lee felt like a king after he topped the men's 12K race of the 2nd Alphan's Run yesterday at The Terraces grounds of Ayala Center-Cebu as Lovely Andrin lorded it over in the distaff side.
Lee edged out seasoned ultra marathoners Noel Tillor and Paul Zafico for the top post with the best time of 41 minutes and 34 seconds. Tillor placed second with a 42:22 clocking, while Zafico ended third in 43:07.
Lovely Andrin, on the other hand, submitted the fastest time of 55 minutes among the female participants. She was 19 seconds ahead of her closest pursuer Keisha Mae Delechos, while Lovely's sister Jhean wound up third in 55:52.
The other Andrin, Cherry, ruled the women's 6K action in 25:01 followed by Rizza Bawsin (25:38) and Irish Delechos (25:56).
Michael Largo bagged the men's 6K crown with the time of 20:11. John Daryll Manus and Christian Lim occupied the next two spots with the time of 20:40 and 22:53, respectively.
The top three finishers in the women's 3K were Regine Piezas (21:41), Merced Llerin (22:33) and Carla Lawas (24:17). John Cliff Debulosan was the top performer in the men's bracket followed by Kirgy Emnace and Roy Ritch Masong. (FREEMAN)
