Giuseppe sweeps matches in Aboitiz Cup

CEBU, Philippines - Team Giuseppe sweeps their assignments in the 16th Aboitiz Football Cup yesterday at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

Giuseppe’s under-11 squad posted an impressive 14-0 victory against Mad FC to take the solo lead in Bracket B with a perfect 2-0 win-loss record.

It was followed by their under-9 team who opened their bid for the title with a win against Paref-Springdale-B. Giuseppe also beat Sais in the under-13 action with a dominant 4-1 win.

On the other hand, it was Consolacion who fell into the hands of Giuseppe’s under-7 team, 4-0.

In the other matches, Bright Academy hammered out an 11-0 win against CPMS, while Bright Minds in Action Learning Village outsmarted Canduman scored a 1-0 win in the under-9 division.

Consolacion FC defeated Tabor Hills 3-0 while Lahug FC posted a 5-0 win against Sais in the under-11 division.

Abellana National School-Pomeroy carved out a 5-0 demolition against Centre for International Education in the under-15 division. Alcoy FC beat Sais, 4-1.

St.Theresa's College scored a double victory as they won against Bright Academy, 8-0 in the girl’s under-15 class, while handing Sais FC another crushing defeat in the girl’s under-18 division.

Tabor Hills' female bets won in the under-11 class with a 3-0 shutout against SHS-AdC girls in the under-15 division. — (FREEMAN)
