Football match to raise funds for typhoon victims

CEBU, Philippines - Singapore- As part of Singapore's fund-raising effort to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines, the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) is organizing an international friendly charity match between Singapore and Philippines under-23 squads.

The game will be played at the Hougang Stadium on Sunday at 5pm.

Tickets are priced at $20 each and are on sale at the usual outlets. All proceeds will be given to the Red Cross Singapore to help in its relief in the Philippines.

Donation boxers will be available at the stadium.

The game is also the final warm-up for the two teams before they head off to the SEA Games in Myanmar. (CNA)(FREEMAN)
