Ramirez, Mwiti rule Bradford Run

CEBU, Philippines - Meiriz Ramirez and Kenyan Douglas Mwiti emerged as the biggest winners in the first United Christian Church of the Philippines (UCCP) Bradford Centennial Run yesterday morning at the UCCP Bradford grounds along Osmeña Boulevard, this city.

Ramirez bagged the 21K women’s crown after completing the race in one hour, 35 minutes and 27 seconds.

Mary Jane Beboso placed second with the time of 1:40:59, followed by former road running queen Christy Sevilleno-Tutor with a 1:44:18 clocking.

In the men’s side, Mwiti took the top honors with 1:14:52 clocking. Robert Daang ended up second in 1:16:18, while Bonifacio Moncao settled for third  with   1:17:54.

On the other hand, Andrin siblings Lovely Fe and Jhean Andrin had a 1-2 finish in the women's 12K run as Carla Cosep ended up third.

Kenyans Abraham Missos and James Mebei occupied the 1-2 slot of the men’s division, while Rafael Piscos occupied the third place.

The youngest member of the Andri sisters, Cherry dominated the 6K class over Riza Bausin and Keisha Delechos, while Jury Ycong and Mary Joy Loberanis snatched the 3K open crowns. (FREEMAN)
