CEBU, Philippines - Back-to-back for Cebu.

13-year old Cebuana cyclist Ana Patricia “Icamax” Maximo of YKKBikes.com captured the championship in the women juniors category during the Individual Time Trial (ITT) 38km of Tour of Cavite last weekend inside the sprawling Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club in Gen. Trias, Cavite.

The grade 8 student of Sacred Heart School-Hijas de Cebu, the youngest in the field of 20 women cyclists, completed the rolling course using a Ridley-Token-Santini racing rig in one hour, 25 minutes and 39 seconds. SEAG veteran Kaye Lopez lorded it over in the women's open division with a time of 1:09:18.

Icamax, using a Santini racing suit, was also earlier cited as the Youngest Rider in the recently concluded Tour of Clark and Tour of Subic.

“I got scared when the organizers changed the ITT distance from 22km to 38km. That was my first time doing an ITT that far,” shared the double silver medalist in the 2013 Phil Natl Games Track Cycling Championships.

On the other hand, her brother and coach 18-year-old Luis Miguel “Igimax” Maximo of Ateneo de Manila University, bagged a surprise third place finish in the ITT 38km men juniors 16-18 category with a decent time of 1:09:07. He used a dedicated YKK Time Trial bike supported by Campagnolo, FSA, Vision, Lazer, Fizik, Carnac, Kenda, and CycleOps components.

Igimax made use of his Information Design course in AdMU when he was also declared the overall winner of the Logo Design contest organized by Mabuhay Pilipinas Cycling League (MPCL) of Stephen Domingo and supported by Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers Association (LPGMA) of Cong. Arnel Ty. (FREEMAN)
