Tikefest set Aug. 17-18

CEBU, Philippines - Student-athletes in taekwondo gear up for this year's Regional Inter-School Taekwondo Championships slated on August 17-18 at the University of Cebu-METC gym in Brgy. Mambaling.

The two-day tournament will feature both the kyorugi or the combative side of this martial art and the poomsae or forms.

Schools from different parts of Cebu and its neighboring provinces are expected to show up and fight for the overall supremacy.

More to it, the organizers are aiming at establishing an international standard for the local athletes as well as in handling the event.
