The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines - Former national team member Victorio Saludar III takes another step towards building his boxing career as he signed with the country’s premiere boxing promotional outfit, ALA Promotions.

The 22–year old Saludar, the youngest of three boxing brothers, was an amateur standout, a 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games bronze medalist and a steady contender, winning 2 Palarong Pambansa gold medals and 6 national championship gold medals. The pride of Polomolok, South Cotabato was also named “best fighter of the tournament” during the 31st Tammer Cup held in Tampere, Finland.

Saludar, who goes by the moniker “Vicious”, joined ALA boxing’s stable of fighters for the exciting 108 pounds division. He is set to make his pro-debut on the upcoming 21st edition of Pinoy Pride mega boxing series, which headlines WBO World Minimumweight champion Merlito Sabillo going up against WBO world rated no. 6 challenger Jorle Estrada of Colombia.

ALA Promotions thrust is in giving opportunities to boxers who are eager to elevate their careers and chance to turn dreams into reality. Witness Saludar’s professional debut on Pinoy Pride 21 as he brings pride to the people of South Cotabato.
