USPF rules Talisay beach volley

CEBU, Philippines - The University of Southern Philippnes Foundation (USPF) scored a double victory in the 2013 Talisay Beach Volley the other day at the said city’s National Historic Shrine Liberation Monument in Brgy. Poblacion.

Apple Eve Saraum and Rochelle Rica successfully defended their women's crown after surviving a three-set thriller against Therese Rae Ramas and Anna Bennova Sabanal of Southwestern University (SWU), 21-16, 19-21, 15-12.

In the men's final, SPF’s Edward Ybañez and Edmar Bonono overpowered Jayson Uy and Jade Ilut of the University of San Jose-Recoletos in straight sets, 29-27, 21-13.

The champion teams received P5,000 each, while the losers took home P3,000.  (FREEMAN)
