Talisay triathlon race this am
CEBU, Philippines - Around 150 up and coming triatletes will plunge into action in the 2nd Talisay Triathlon early morning today starting at the city's new fish port along the Cebu South Coastal Road.
Event organizer Hazel Busa said that aside from the local bets, triathletes from Dipolog, Davao and Leyte are also in town to join in the competition.
The kiddies division also drew a huge number of entries led by the Chiongbian brothers Justin and Yuan of the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu.
The battle for kids will have the 10-under, 11-12 and 13-15 age groups.
In the adults action featuring the 19-under, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, and 50–above categories, Rochelle Tan and Kriastiane Lim are back to defend their respective titles.
The winners as well as the finishers will receive a specially-made medals.
Cash prizes and exciting items from Rudy Project will be given away to overall champions and top three placers in the age-group brackets
The sexiest male and female triathletes will also be named. They will get a cash reward and gift packs from Silka-Asia Cosmetique.
Organized by the Talisay City Sports Commission and sponsored by Vicky Marketing, the one day tilt is also supported by Rudy Project, Juicy Cologne, DYAR, Silka, Nano Energizer, University of Visayas and Aqua Cainta Resort. (FREEMAN)
