Cebu rider competes in ASEAN underbone race today in Laguna
CEBU, Philippines - Cebuano underbone racer Anacleto “Insik” Flores got the biggest break of his career after he made it to the Philippine team that will see action in the 9th Yamaha ASEAN Cup Race today in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Flores is the lone rider from the Visayas region to be included in the Phl squad due to his impressive showing in the Yamaha Grand Prix in Manila last month.
The other Pinoy bets are Luzon’s Tracy Gaddi and John Cloyd Pilapil and Mindanao’s Ernie Daguio Jr., Vingie Coloma and Clifford Bacus.
Although it's just his first time to compete in an internatinal event, Flores was able to keep up with the veteran underbone racers from different countries based on the time trials they had the other day.
Flores will be riding a Yamaha Sniper MX135 for today's race.
Aside from host Phl, the other countries competing are Japan, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, and Thailand. (FREEMAN)
