CCSC football tourney kicks off today
CEBU, Philippines - Some of the CVIRAA-bound Cebuano booters will test each other's mettle in the 1st Cebu City Sports Center Football Friendship Games today at state-of-the-art CCSC field.
The event is dubbed as the 'Champion’s League' since most of the competing squads are top performers of the Cebu City Olympics and the Cebu Provincial Meet two weeks ago.
A total of four teams each will see action in the elementary and secondary level.
Vying for top honors in the elementary category are Cebu City manned by Don Bosco Technology Center, Mandaue represented by Subangdaku Elementary School, Danao City selection and the Ballesteros' Team Warshockz.
DBTC will also show its stuff in the secondary battle alongside Mandaue bannered by players from Mandaue Technical Institute and Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, Cebu Province represented mainly by Don Bosco Boys Home in Liloan and Abellana National School’s Pomeroy-Futbolitos.
“The tournament will serve as tune up-games of Cebu teams to the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) Meet in Dumaguete on December 2,” said event organizer Ricky Ballesteros. (FREEMAN)
