ANS bets brace for Pintaflores bootfest

CEBU, Philippines - The Abellana National School (ANS)-Pomeroy booters are gearing up for the 5th Pintaflores National Invitational Under-16 Football Championships in San Carlos City at the end of the month.

ANS-Pomeroy head coach Francis Ramirez said they are all set o improve their third place finish in last year's edition of the annual tournament.

"We are aiming to improve our third place finish last year," said Ramirez, who will be in Baguio City a week before the event to participate in the Seminar/Workshop for Department of Education's Special Program in Sports.           

"I will not be around when my team makes their final preparation but there is a chance that I will be joining them in San Carlos City from Baguio," said Ramirez, who is also the athletic director of ANS.

Aside from ANS-Pomeroy, Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) will also see action in the event that will be participated in by eights teams from Manila and other areas in the Vis-Min region.  (FREEMAN)
