Daang, Andrin rule 'Run for Faith'

CEBU, Philippines -  Robert Daang and Lovely Andrin frolicked in the absence of the Kenyans to stamp their respective classes in the ‘Run for Faith’ spearheaded by the Oasis of Love-Cebu yesterday at the Mantawi drive beside the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC).

 Daang topped the 14K men's open in 48 minutes and 59 seconds. Reiz Enriquez settled for second with the time of 50:02:87 followed by Neri Joland Concepcion in 59:11:12.

 Rounding up the top 10 finishers were Chobie Dueñas (54:11:38), Ricky Abalayan (55:55:59), Teodorico Diaz (57:35:21), Richard Rickysola (58:11:50) , Jesus Rodriguez (58:44:40), Rodel Auxtero (59:24:18) and Paul John Makiling (1:00:32).

 Andrin reigned supreme in the distaff side with the time of one hour, seven minutes and 48 seconds. The next two spots were occupied by Mary Jane Beboso (1:11:20) and Carla Cosep (1:12:37).

 The sixth to 10th placers were Tessie Escasinas (1:13:30), Abegail Lua (1:14:25), Helen Dionson (1:15:26), Jingay Lugay (1:17:28), Marisa Yap (1:20:35), Joy Postare (1:21:14) and Mary Luz Hermosa (1:24:14).

 Joel Delposo dominated the men's 5K battle in 17 minutes and 10 seconds. Bonifacio Monjas (17:12) placed second followed by Jodell Balarial (17:15) Prince Jory Lee (17:18) and John Cliff Debulogan (17:21).

 The Andrin siblings Jheann and Cherry posted a 1-2 finish in the women's class. Jheann timed 17:41, while Cherry clocked in 17:44.

Crizel Diongson was third in 17:55 followed by Keisha Mae Delechos (18:07) and Lynle Cardenas (18:25).
