Fifth leg of Kartzone race series on today
CEBU, Philippines - A more intense action and drama are expected today as the Kartzone Superkart Series unravels its fifth leg dubbed as “Back with a vengeance” at Kartzone racetrack in Kasambagan, this city.
Since it's third to the last leg, the karters are expected to race with their best as they fight not only for top honors but also for the overall supremacy.
Leading the pack of contenders is the multi-titled Tonyo Carcel, who is the front-runner for the Karter of the Year race with 159 points after four legs.
Breathing down Carcel's neck is last leg’s KT expert winner Jette Calderon with 154 points followed by Joseph Rojo with 143 points.
JT Gullas is at fourth spot in the KOY race with 87 points, just a hairline ahead of Sean Velasco.
Rounding up the top 10 cast in the overall standings are Vince Rojo (63), Kali Carcel (59), Panpan Reroma(54), Regan King (21), and Jed Binoya (19 points).
Aside from the KT expert, the other categories to be conetsted are the SQ cadet, mini ROK, Honda novice and expert, KT novice and masters. - THE FREEMAN
