Montenegro is dart champion
CEBU, Philippines - Steve Montenegro emerged as the open singles champion of this year’s Cebu City Inter-barangay Darts Tournament at Kokodine near Plaza Independencia here.
Montenegro defeated Reyden Colina, 2-1 in the final battle.
Colina, who entered the final via the losers’ bracket, gave the eventual winner a good run for his money, but fell short.
Rodmar Branzuela settled for third while Roniel Pedroza was fourth.
The fifth to eighth placers were Wennie Ocañada, Caloy Narita, Jomar Amerol, and Ronaldo Cadorna respectively.
The youth division’s final showdown, on the other hand, will take place tomorrow.
The awarding ceremonies for the winners in all categories will take place on Saturday also at Kokodine at 4 p.m. after the youth category. - THE FREEMAN
