Teletech, Kyocera turn back foes in CSCC E-League

CEBU, Philippines - Sherwin Emmanuelle Resilla fired 21 points on top of nine rebounds and four steals as the Teletech Titans outlasted the Odusee Rooz, 77-67, in the Sun Cellular-presented 8th CSCC E-League men's basketball tournament at the City Sports Club Cebu gym.

Sherwin Anghay and Lourenz Limpangog each added 16 markers for Teletech, which bucked off a sluggish start to turn the tables on Odusee.

Teletech trailed by five points at halftime, 25-30, but rallied back with savvy in the third period to wrest the driver's seat, 50-49, heading into the final 10 minutes of play.

Teletech then outpointed Odusee in the last quarter, 27-18, to complete its big turnaround.

Kenneth Robert Abrantes paced Odusee with 25 points, two rebounds and two steals. Rueben James Cabilino banged in 14 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Michael Cadiz tossed in 13 points and a season-high 14 rebounds in a losing effort.

In the other games, the Kyocera Frontiets pulled off a 59-57 stunner over the Qualfon Knights, while the Aegis Vipers slammed the Xlibris Publishers, 75-67.

Ariel Ramonito Edera led Krocera with 23 points, eight ebounds, four steals and three assists. Eliot Emerson Uy chipped in 12 points, nine rebounds and four blocks for Kyocera, which used a decisive rally in the middle quarters and then fended off Qualfon's sizzling endgame assault to score an upset.

Remario Edano topped Qualfon with 11 points, six steals, three rebounds and three assists followed by Gerald Jacaban with 10 points and six rebounds.

Clifford Amarado, on the other hand, spearheaded Aegis' charge with 16 points and three rebounds.
