OZ Racing to stage downhill race on Aug. 4
CEBU, Philippines - Cebuano downhillers gear up for the OZ Racing Mountainbike-Downhill Race on August 4 in Valencia, Negros Oriental.
OZ Racing top honcho Zandro Fajardo and his prized ward JR Barba will spearhead the Cebuanos' campaign in the one-day tilt. Fajardo and Barba made waves in the Singapore National Cycling Championships last week.
More than claiming the top honors, however, Fajardo is supporting this event as part of the Visayan riders' preparations for 2the 1st COMBAT Round 3-D.R.O.P National Series in Cagayan de Oro City next month.
Since this is a tune-up race for the national battle, the organizers have decided to classify the participants according to their age and not on the usual categories that is based on the riders' skills.
The age group to be contested are the 29-undcer and the 30-above.
Registration fee is pegged at P300. (FREEMAN)
