Teletech downs Accenture; Qualfon routs Executive Boutique in CSCC E-League
CEBU, Philippines - The Teletech Titans once again drew an all-around performance from Sherwin Emmanuelle Resilla as they hammered the Accenture Sharks, 78-67, while all five players fielded in by Qualfon Knights cashed in substantial figures in their 102-74 whacking of the Executive Boutique Lycans in the Sun Cellular-presented 8th CSCC E-League men's basketball tournament last Sunday night at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.
Resilla had a solid double-double show of 15 points and 12 rebounds he spiced up with four steals and three assists as Teletech tightened its grip of the Southern Conference lead with a 6-1 win-loss record.
Sherwin Anghay added 13 points and Lourenz Limpangog chipped in 12 points, five blocks and four rebounds for Teletech, which never looked back after taking an early eight-point lead, 23-15, on the way to hand Accenture its third loss against five victories.
Ryan Edward Llanos paced Accenture with 19 points, while Jasper Loreto scored 17 points on top of four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
Qualfon, on the other hand, had five players dishing out impressive numbers led by Vincent Enriquez with 26 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two steals followed by Jopher Regidor with 25 points, nine rebounds four assists and two steals.
Arnulfo Gelbolingo banged in 23 markers on top of seven assists, four steals and the same number of rebounds, while Benjamin Sanchez netted 18 points, eight rebounds and five assists for Qualfon, which ripped the game apart right after the first 10 minutes of play, 30-13.
John Llesol issued a season-high 11 assists to compliment his 10 points and seven rebounds for Qualfon, which further clobbered the Lycans in the next two quarters, 49-31, resulting into a 28-point rout.
Andrew Thomas John Hilvano and R'nyl Joel Cagas connived for 45 points, eight rebounds and eight assists but to no avail as Executive Boutique crashed to its seventh straight defeat in as many starts.
In the other game, Ariel Ramonito Edera erupted with 24 points, while Eliot Emerson Uy tossed in 16 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks and two assists as the Kyrocera Frontiers slammed the Calltek Trojans, 58-49, to even its win-loss record to 3-3. Calltek fell to 1-6.
