Cebuano players dominate Maasin darts tourney
CEBU, Philippines - The Cebu Niños manned by the members of the City Hall Employees Darts Association (CHEDA) dominated the Gov. Damian G. Mercado Cup National Darts Tournament at the Maasin City gymnasium.
Steve Montenegro spearheaded the Niños' charge with two championship trophies via the seniors division and doubles event.
Montenegro also won a bronze in the open singles, while his team made it to the top 8 in the three-man team and fixed-four person event.
Jun Bacalso and Roniel Pedrosa topped the three-man team competition followed by Yummy Rensulat and Winnie Ocañada.
Pedrosa, Rodmar Branzuela and two non-CHEDA players reigned supreme in the fixed four-person team event.
On the other hand, Reyden Colina had a runner-up finish in the classified doubles.
Colina and Jomar Amerol also wound up eighth in the four-person and three-man team events, Pedrosa landed eight in the open singles, while Jerome Perales and his team also had a decent finish in the fixed four-person event. - THE FREEMAN
