Tan to see action in Bohol duathlon

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu’s reigning triathlon queen Rochelle Tan will be competing in the Danao Highland Races II-Rebel Trails Duathlon slated on July 8 at the Danao Adventure Park in Danao, Bohol.

Joining the race is part of Tan's extensive preparations for the highly-anticipated Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines on August 5 at the Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa in Lapu-Lapu City.

Aside from Tan, several other Cebuano adventure seekers are also expected to see action.

The Bohol duathlon features the men and women's division.

The men’s action will have the elite open and 19-under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-39 and 50-above age groups, while the distaff side will have the elite open and the open executive.

There will also be an executive 2-man and 3-man relay.

The elite athletes will have to deal with a 10K run, 30K bike and another 10K run.

Aside from the duathlon, there will also be a mad scrambler river race, which covers three kilometers, and a tactical paintball wargames billed as the “Assault on Dagohoy Hill".
