Stream, Accenture rout foes in E-League

CEBU, Philippines - Stream Ingenyouity bounced back from a previous defeat in style, thrashing the Executive Boutique Lycans by 52 points, 92-40, while the Accenture Sharks was similarly explosive in their 89-52 demolition of the Eli Global Underdogs in the Sun Cellular-presented 8th CSCC E-League men's basketball tournament at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Top gunner Sylvester Millevo was held off to only nine points, but Angelo Galicia stepped up bigtime for Stream with 23 points on top of three rebounds and two steals. John Jess Cajuelan and Nolan de la Peña connived for 23 markers as they kept the Lycans at bay since getting off to a sizzling 25-7 start.

Stream closed the first half with a 43-15 advantage and then outscored Executive Boutique in the final half, 49-25, for the blowout victory. R'nyl Joey Cagas was the lone double digit scorer for the Lycans with a game-high 23 points.

Ron Alan Orat, on the other hand, sparkled with 18 points and Jasper Loreto added a dozen markers as Accenture unleashed a decisive opening assault, 21-8, that staggered Eli Global the rest of the way.

Accenture continued to pounce on Eli Global quarter after quarter, including a 27-12 tear in the third period that enabled them to mount an imposing 71-37 lead, which they parlayed into a 37-point rout at the final buzzer.

Ryan Zear Lauro topped Eli Global with 20 points followed by Jesus Ricarde with 10 points, 12 rebounds and four steals.

In the other game, Lourenz Limpangog had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Sherwin Emmanuelle Resilla added 12 points on top of seven rebounds, four assists and three steals as the Teletech Titans gunned down the SupportSave Jaguars, 61-54.

Teletech was in complete command of the match after taking an early 16-8 lead. They ended the third period with a 45-32 advantage and then gamely parried SupportSave's endgame attack to preserve the win.

Fritz Vincent Blanes topped SupportSave with 18 points, while Edmon Paradiang netted 12 markers.
