Zumbathon to spice up Mr. Perfect Body tilt

-

CEBU, Philippines - A zumbathon will spice up the 26th edition of the Mr. Perfect Body bodybuilding competition slated this Sunday afternoon at the Activity Centre of Pacific Mall (formerly Super Metro) in Brgy. Basak, Mandaue City.

The dance marathon, which will start at 1pm or two hours before the showdown of well-chiseled musclemen from different fitness clubs in Cebu, will be led by three licensed Zumba instructors in Marco Brigoli, Dario Tagalog, and Fernando Ungria.

"The zumbathon is open to the public for free. Not only that, we have also prepared many prizes for the winners," said Mr. Perfect Body proprietor Nancy L. Yukayguan.

Aside from the zumbathon, the other sidelights of the affair is the awarding of Perfect Body's biggest losers in Ric Anthony Bugtay, who lost 74.7 pounds in eight months, and Christian Yap, who lost 80.5 pounds in one year.

Over P10,000 in cash prize is at stake for the winners of the annual contest, which carries the theme "Health is more than wealth".

Aside from trophies and medals, the champion will take home P5,000, while the second and third placers will pocket P3,000 and P2,000, respectively. The fourth to sixth will receive P500, P400 and P300 plus medals.

Yukayguan has assembled a distinguished panel of judges for the event namely Ben Andales (Mr. Philippines 1978), Wesley Lim ( Mr. Philippines 1987), Henley Uy (licensed international bodybuilding judge),

Noli Tolentino (Mr. Perfect Body 1987, Mr. Philippines 1990 and Mr. Bikini Open 1991) and Ely Deldig.

The pre-judging will be done on May 26 from 2 to 4 pm also at the Pacific Mall.
