SRFC remains unbeaten in Inter-Club footballfest

-

CEBU, Philippines - San Roque FC sustained its sizzling run after eking out a 2-1 win over Southwestern University (SWU) in the 12th CAFC Inter-Club Football Cup yesterday at the University of San Carlos-Technological Center (USC-TC) field in Brgy. Talamban, this city.

SRFC, thus, stayed as the only undefeated squad in the men's open division with an immaculate 3-0 record.

In the other men's open bracket B match, Queen City United got off to a flying start only to run out of gas in the second half and eventually settle for a 4-4 draw with the Don Bosco United FC.

Over at PAREF-Springdale, Canduman FC and USC-North fought to a 2-all standoff, while Barili FC pulled off a 3-2 squeaker over Team Warzhockz in the players 10 class.

In the boys 12 category, Canduman-B bowed to San Roque FC, 7-1, but its Team A silenced host Springdale, 4-0. In the other matches, Warzhockz came up with a masterful 5-0 demolition of the DB Razkals, while Sacred School-Ateneo de Cebu dumped San Roque FC, 7-0.

At the San Roque Parish pitch in Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City, Abellana National School/Pomeroy finally barged into the win column of the boys 14 category after it slammed the SJSM/3 Brothers, 4-1.

Mandaue Technical Institute hammered out an 8-0 victory over the DB Razkals in the boys 17 action, while QCU-A overpowered its team B, 3-0, and ERCO won by forfeiture over Baliant Hawks United in the 40-above division. (FREEMAN)
