Inter-Club football unwraps today

CEBU, Philippines - The week-long 12th Cebu Amateur Football Club (CAFC) National Inter-Cub Football Cup comes off the wraps today in three separate venues.

The University of San Carlos-Technological Center (USC-TC) in Brgy. Talamban plays host to the boys 17-under, 40-above and men’s open division.

During the elimination round, only the games in bracket A of boys 17-under category will be played at USC-TC, with Springdale FC returning to action against USC-North at 1:30 pm.

In the 40-above action that will start at 5:30 pm, the Queen City United-A will go up against the equally-tough ERCO FC, while Hiroshi FC will clash with Baliant Hawk United.

The men's open schedule is still being finalized as of this writing yesterday.

In bracket B of boys 17-under to be contested at the San Roque Parish field in Brgy. Subangdaku, Mandaue City, the Mandaue Technological Institute will take on Abellana National School/Pomeroy in the opener, while the SC Warriors will mix it up with the Cebu Team.  

ANS/Pomeroy is also scheduled to play in the boys 14 class versus Canduman FC, while Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu collides with the SJSM/3 Brothers squad.

Over at PAREF-Springdale School, exciting battle in the boys 12 and players 10 will take place.

In the boys 12, Canduman teams A and B will tackle Warzhockz and Danao FC, respectively, while SHS-Ateneo will face Dinamo South FC.

Three games have also been lined up in the players 10 pitting South Cebu vs. Count FC, SHS-AdC vs. Warzhockz, and Barili FC vs. USC-North.— (FREEMAN)
