Miñoza jungolf tees off Monday

CEBU, Philippines - The Frankie S. Miñoza Junior Golf Circuit Alta Vista Leg tees off on Monday with no less than the top Filipino pro to hit the ceremonial drive.

The tournament will run until Tuesday.

Miñoza recently also held the Del Monte Leg of the tournament in Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, his hometown.

The players from Del Monte Golf Club ran away with most awards in that event, but several Cebuanos also finished among the top in their categories.

Cebu Country Club’s Gio Gandionco won the title for Boys A while teammate LJ Go finished as runner-up.

In the girls A division, Alta Vista’s Kyla Crystal finished as runner-up to Del Monte’s Apple Fudolin while second runner-up was May Ann Arbole also of Del Monte.

In girls B, Alyeska Yunam of Alta Vista was runner-up to Del Monte’s Rainstar Roque while Pamela Mariano also of DMGC was third.

Cebu Country Club’s Lois Kaye Go was runner-up in girls C to Del Monte’s Sofia Chabon.

In class E boys, Matt Bucao of Alta Vista was runner-up to Zeus Sara of Davao City Golf Club.
