All set for FitFil Fitness Camp

CEBU, Philippines - Only 26 slots are available for the Cebu phase of Coach Jim Saret's FitFil (Fit-Filipino) Fitness Boot Camp, which will take place from May 15 to June 9 mainly at the Terraces of Ayala Center Cebu. The alternate venues include the Linear Park located in between the Cebu Holdings and City Sports Club-Cebu and Phase 3 of Cebu Business Park at the back of Colegio de la Inmaculada Conception."We opening the camp only to the first 200 registrants. This will be the biggest outdoor fitness camp ever held here," said event manager Archt. Alan G. Choachuy in a press conference yesterday at Big Mao in Ayala Center Cebu.

Choachuy will also be one of the motivational coaches during the course of the two-week program along with his fellow former contestants of the "Biggest Loser" Pinoy edition namely Eric Limatog, Raffy Tan, Hazel Chua, Winwin Cabinta, Edden Cruz, Destiny Duarte, Ryan Razon, Leigh Villegas and JM Oloris.

"Ang Fit-Fil Camp ni coach Jim Saret ay ginawa to make people fitter, stronger and faster. Yung weight loss, bonus na yon," said Tan.

The organizers have also hired several assistant/athlete coaches in the likes of Eyu Abellanosa, Riva, Kathy Abarquez, Erwina Carillo, Peter Bordador and Terence Fernandez.

The 12-15 sessions program will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 pm to 8 pm and on Saturdays from 6 am to 8 am.

The participants will experience TRX, boxing, yoga, pilates, circuit, P90x and other newest workout techniques in one fitness camp.

The sessions include exercise briefing, nutrition counseling provided by Nestle Wellness and fitness lecture. To add fun to the activity, there will be games and raffle draws.

"Those who will be joining the camp will be able to design their own fitness goal. Also, they will have a chance to meet like-minded folks passionate in fitness who will provide them motivation all throughout.

"For those joining the program with weight loss in mind, our goal is to help them lose no less than 8 to 10 pounds in 4 to 5 weeks with maximal fat burning and fitness training," said Saret, who holds a degree in Master of Science in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine from Brigham Young University in the United States.

Participants who will pass the Fitness Test Challenge will get a "FitFil Certificate."

"This is the first scientifically-based fitness standard here in the Philippines," said Saret. "Our objective is to get all boot camp participants certified. So let's get fit, Philippines."

FitFil Movement is an advocacy of Saret, trainer of the Biggest Loser Philippines and of various national sports teams. He is recognized by media and experts alike as a top fitness coach in the country. His proven world-class fitness formula is used by elite national athletes, varsity players, celebrities, runners, swimmers and even obese individuals.

Being the major sponsor of this project, Nestle Wellness will provide nutritional counseling by certified dieticians and fitness testing throughout the event.

Campers will also get Nestle goodies including water bottles, workout singlet and other giveaways.

Early bird registrants in Cebu will have to pay a minimal fee of P800. Those who will register after May 1 will be assessed with P1,000.
